Weekend Aside: A little bit of Halloween content…

Since today’s normally taken up by the celebration of a parental birthday, there’s no real time to do a new episode review (I did update the schedule page), but a bit of Halloween content is appropos:

Batman_Haunted_Knight

Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale are practically joined at the hip in terms of their contribution to Batman Lore, most famously via The Long Halloween, the miniseries which played a large role in the development of Chris Nolan’s Batman movies. However, before that series, Loeb and Sale produced three well-received Batman Halloween specials which are collected in Batman: Haunted Knight.

Shoo! Go away! I’m restricted to a laptop with a wonky shift key all weekend (and Monoprice is slow as ever in shipping a new flexiboard up to Canada), so typing a full review would be… problematic. But feel free to leave comments about what you think could be done better with these; I know I flubbed Brave and the Bold’s review, but that’s such a weird episode structurally that I couldn’t do much about it.

Oh, fine, there’s another Fleischer short after the jump… plus a Superman animated surprise from an even more obscure source.
